that any puppies resulting from the mating today between our bitch
..(who is over twelve months of age) and your
stud dog ............. will not be sent to their
new homes prior to the age of eight weeks. Any puppies going to new homes will
have been thoroughly socialised and checked by our vet to state they are in good health and would have had
their first vaccination. They will have insurance cover for six weeks from
organisations like PetPlan in addition to that offered by the Kennel Club.
Puppies will be sold outright to new owners , breeding terms will not
apply to any puppies resulting from this mating. Buyers will be carefully vetted for suitability and will be asked to
sign a contract which will
indicate when the puppy was last wormed, approx
weight on date of sale a picture or description of the puppy. That
puppies are sold primarily as pets and companions for life, That the buyer
agrees to insure the dog throughout its life. That the puppy is not an
investment in any financial sense as its value to other potential owners
depreciates exponentially with every day it gets older. Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the stud dog owner , 1 The Kennel Club certificate for bitch puppies will be endorsed PROGENY NOT FOR REGISTRATION you will offer the option (in writing) to lift the clause when the pup reaches 18 months of age and is certified by a vet to be in good health and that the mating will only take place with a sire HUU tested clear . 2.KC. certificates for all puppies shall also be endorsed NOT FOR EXPORT unless it is an overseas buyer (who must collect the pup in person) . 3.That the buyer agrees that should circumstances change during the puppys lifetime that it will not be sold on but returned to the breeders (you) for re-homing free of charge, this will be done to suitable homes at a nominal fee which will be donated to Bulldog Rescue or the puppy kept for its lifetime by the breeder., 4.That the puppy is taken to the buyers vet within three working days for it to be checked and if found to be in any way unhealthy within that period of time it is to be returned for a full refund. 5.New owners agree that bitches will only have a maximum of three litters in their lifetime (only 2 if by caesarean ) and any bitch puppies they whelp will in turn only be sold outright to new owners and on the same conditions as they have purchased the mother. 6.The contract must indicate that the pup is to be house and lead trained and advice given on how this is done. 8.A full diet sheet is to accompany each pup and buyers are to be encouraged to buy and read a book on Bulldogs eg The Pet Owners Guide to the Bulldog by Judith Daws available at Smiths. 9.Buyers are to be strongly advised to use a bulldog friendly vet, names of which can be obtained from The Bulldog Breed council website.
